The imp at work inside..

You will agree that there are always two sides at fight within your own self. This battleground remains normally latent, but there are times when it becomes highly conspicuous. If you are not buying this, let me give you a simple scenario and you would find your doubts melting away. There is always an obstinate unhearing part within you that tells you to retire to the whims of slumber, to gorge when you are trying to keep a tab on your weight, to wake up late, to postpone all works to the nonexistent tomorrow...the list appears endless . When this imp inside you pushes you to seek the pleasures of sleep, at the same time the sane part instructs you to stay up- reminding you of the things left to be done. Or sometimes when it makes you gape in front of a store window, the sane part reminds you of not missing the miniscule price tag showing the enormous price attached to the manikin. The diet conscious janta would very well agree how hard they have to keep their impish self at check eve

--> Yesterday talked to a school friend after a long time (infact the first time after school :P). We laughed as we recounted the school days and riveted into the present and the past. I learnt that she was off to Mumbai for a wedding. The first exclamation to come out of me was ‘Happy Shopping’, instead of a ‘Happy Vacation’.. Well those of you who have already started squinting over this, let me throw some more light for you. Actually shopping is crucial for many, a pastime for some and liability for the rest; incidentally my friend belongs to the first category. In a nutshell shopping is another feat which is not everybody’s cup of tea. Ok a candid question to gauge your shopping skills . How many of you could freely get into a shop, look for all sorts of things, dislike objects shown and walk away to another store, without a miniscule of hesitation? If you have an affirmative answer for this, you automatically qualify for the utmost summit on my scale. This skil

Ah one of the many caprices that couldnt be restrained :P With the result being the aroma of mehendi filling the whole block.. It turned out to be a great experience, some of the most treasured moments of final year then ensued with the long discussions we had. In any case, the euphoria was visible when everyone was dying to compare the colours that had come up overnight.. any guesses which one is mine? :P :mm

Morning bytes

On usual days, there is a long hiatus between the moment I open my eyes to the one I actually rise from my bed; as a matter of fact I need to go through numerous alarm snoozes and self persuasions before I could get up. In winters, it only becomes more daunting to get out of the warmth of your nestled couch and snuggled quilts. However this day was different. I was woken up by the shrill cadence of the birds twittering in my backyard. There was some magic in the air that pulled me to come out of my bed. I took a deep breath and came out of the quilt, not even waiting to glance at the watch. I got up to find the soft morning light peering through the window blinds at the far end of the room. As I took my way to the window, I could feel the chill of the morning breeze running down my spine. Night dew still clung to the grass and the sight was beautiful. I felt as if countless prisms have been placed on the grass, or if a sheet of silver strewn on the ground . I saw the lemon tree housin

The Inaugration

Well ever since I started writing I had this dream of holding a blog of my own for publishing my stuffs. Infact I even started a blog for the same purpose but alas, you would find it in some abyss catching dust. Now again with a similar zeal, I decided to start this one, for which I seriously hope not to let it reach the same fate as its precedent. Continuing with the string of my desires, I had also hoped to put a lot of gravity into my first post. Well but the ever lingering problem again came up and the million figments of my bemused mind could not settle down on a consensus for any topic. Going down memory lane is now the most common thing which I do whenever I am stuck foraging for a topic. I know this wont give the classic kick start I wanted yet starting and inching forward is better than not moving at all. So beginning on a philosophical note let me try and join the tid-bits floating in my mind and see if I could get a good picture ready. Just reminiscing past, a few
