This and That

Most of us are waiting with bated breaths for Feb 12, not for hugs or teddies or something else of the ilk(its Valentine’s week no doubt), but SRK’s big shot My Name Is Khan hits the big screens this day. Of course, some other really important occasions coincide with it (some birthdays n some anniversaries to be precise) lest I don’t get a beating for not mentioning :P. Naturally this makes the momentous day even more special.

Well SRK fans have waited for this one moment: re-unison of the ever-charismatic pair of kajol and Shahrukh and that too in a Karan Johar movie, an icing on the cake surely. But definitely for the producers its going to be a tough call considering all the protests pouring in Mumbai. But I respect SRK for not bowing down his integrity under all those threats.

Anyway there are a lot of things buzzing around these days, if you skim through the happenings. Its not just Google Buzz that I am talking about. But other things that are causing long range ripples around us:

"Facebook n other sites banned in the college, Tiger Woods continues to hit the news for reasons more off the field than on it, a lot of heated discussions over brinjals, Marathi and Bihari fanatics still voicing their sporadic igniting statements." It sometimes makes you wonder that what will the Marathi-Bihari debate eventually ensue to be. Would we be having some 'Teliarganj wale' and 'Civil Lines wale' in the fray next!(The names are Allahabad localities for my non-Allahabadi junta :)) This definitely seems plausible in the offing considering the scenario today… :P

In any case, its Promise Day today.. and I wanna promise all my dear friends a life long friendship :). love u guys.. n love u Shahrukh.. hope your movie breaks all recordsof success .. I just wanna see the faces of the Shiv Sainiks once that happens..

awesome mohita....good one ... u surely right in supporting SRK and i think there would be a whole bunch of educated people who will do the same...all this stuff try to create a barrier between people hearts... creating a difference of opinion and giving them a whole new perspective to view a personality like SRK with a tinge of DOUBT... and i know if i wont wish the person here i may get some beating too ... so Happy birthday Darling may u live hundred years with that smile on your face forever....God bless you ... and Mohita may be this is my first comment but u can surely hope for more in your coming posts .. :)

Wonderfully written... u have written so many things in such a pithy manner. I love srk and i love what u have said about him.

I also like the mention of woods and marathi-bihari etc. Serious things in a light manner.. only you can do that.

So SRK seems to be back in business :)& it means in coming days, evrythng from custom messages of gtalk to topic of discussion( or argument in some cases :P )between anybody who are capable of making a conversation, will start & end with SRK or MNIK..
Personally I am not a big fan of SRK & i surely don't hail him like u people do, but i admit 1 thng dat he has shown a lot f character & courage by not bowing down against all odds. Hats off to him for that.
& mohita i will try to contribute in success of this film by watching it in theater, though not for SRK :P

I am a staunch hater of MNS policies regarding everything, but I would like to have a different stand here (against SRK)... (no hard feelings intended, just curious :P)

While he was in London, he has shot various remarks on MNS, besides showing himself as a bold character in refuting their remarks and hoping for a sensational opening (which he luckily got :D), I think all this uproar was a part of his publicity stunt.

Why I am saying this - When he landed in Mumbai (I dare not say Bombay or somebody's going to get a hurt real bad :P), he has everything good about MNS albeit he was criticizing them from far away land.

May be this is impact of Rann by RGV, but I strongly DOUBT about SRKs multiple stands.

feb 12th ...well first thing fr sure... it is a remarkable day in our life [ obviously bcoz of bday of a dear frnd... i wish her a happy n bful life ]
Coming bak to main article… it seems quite obvious dat author, like millions of oder Indian gals, is a huge fan of SRK….. I am also waiting for My Name is Khan but not coz m big “SRK fan” bt coz m a KAJOL fan [ yes mohita dey do exist and you forgot to mention dem :PP ]
Well on protest fiasco of shiv sena what else you expect from a separatist minded political organization on issues like this.. and it would be interesting to mention dat the 12 feb is also bday of khalistan terrorist Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale… so a great bday gift from shivsena.
I am in coherence with Beagle boy to a certain extent about srk and shivsena .. not to forget the point that Mr SRK is neither a politician nor a real life Hero … he is a veryyyyy good actor turned into just another business man.
But truly I am luking forward to see the RAJ of young India finally turned into doing some meaningful cinema in form of RIJWAN [ like AMIR KHAN… hi hi hi :P]… [ sorry kritika :P…. bt maja aa raha likhne me … I knw main pitne wala hun]
All da best to KAJOL n SRK and to mohita….. keep it up

@siddhartha : well u r aware of ur mistake urself..first of all mohita did mention KAJOL
and its very obvious girls like SRK and boys liking Kajol more so .. if u dont like her then we have to think abt u ... well SRK might have a thinking like businessman so i wld like to ask who doesnt have in this world ... even if we look back so called father of nation Mahatma Gandhi also manipulated people around him ... everyone aware of Bhagat Singh and his tale with father of nation... and since u havent seen either of MNK or Rijwan u cant surely say which one wld be more meaningful and who wld be more influential in his role (SRK or Aamir) ... and i am sorry to correct u SRK is just not an actor he is a Star who had given indian cinema a passion and recognition ... :)
@krits – ur comment was expected and well anticipated :P n I am loving it :P
First thing first --- I can read dat name of kajol was mentioned but y only fans of srk are wtng fr movie nt fan of kajol :P
And amazingly your likes and dislikes about any actor is not based on acting skills but on the attributes other than acting i.e. your decision about actors are based on the facts governed by the natural factors n of course by oder hormonal activities[“…its very obvious girls like SRK and boys liking Kajol more...”] so no point in arguing you about the aamir khan n srk issues….and if you have to think about me if I don’t like kajol so please think… as I like Mr Amitabh Bachchan more dan kajol [ and my opinion is based on acting skills only.. which is not your perception I guess :P]
And one more thing Mr SRK has not given passion n recognition to Indian cinema…he just increased it. If you think that he has given the “passion n recognition” then please do study about staya jeet ray, raj kapoor, dileep kumar etc
N one more think… rijwan is nt ny movie its da name of srk in MNK . while mentioning name of aamir khan I just pray dat srk do more meaning ful cinema
And I can not comment on wat u said bout Gandhi ji… because you think he is so called father of nation and srk is star ..lol .. its disgracing

@Siddhartha : i knw how much u like discussing ( meant arguing :P ) so i wont leave this like dat ... I appreciate Mohita in saying Srk fans are waiting for this movie..
1. Movie is based on SRK bt nt kajol
2. Kajol has always proved her worth while acting against (or as co actor ) with SRK just leaving GUPT where her role was negative...

i misinterprated Rijwan with a movie so its k .... yeah i am well aware of staya jeet ray, raj kapoor, dileep kumar etc but i would again like to correct u that u wont find enough followers of those people as much ull find of SRK... by this i dont MEAN SRk a greater actor then those i just mean that at those tym there was less publicity and less craze so less of them from outer world... and for me i have no faith in mahatama gandhi wld jst remain as so called Father of nation...
and SRK is surely someone whom i can believe is my idol ... hope u dont mind dat ...
@krits--- thanx for constantly discussing [ meant arguing :P] wid me on point which u misunderstood :P
1] how on the earth any body can say that kajol proved her worth “only” in srk movies[ xception : gupt].
I don’t think srk was in lead role in fanna or in dushman or in pyar to hona hi tha or in yeh dillagi or in u me aur hum or a south Indian movie Minsaara Kanavu or was he???? In all above stated movies kajol won or get nominated fr filmfare :P
And if you talked about fame in outer world so do u remember one mister amitabh bachchan… and certainly u don’t remember the raj kapoor effect on the politically red part of da world… n if I assume dat srk has more fame dan ny body else in outer world then still It wont prove that he had given indian cinema a passion and recognition as you have written in earlier comment
And about Mahatma Gandhi u may have your opinion …. Many people in india will share your opinion and such one person is mayawati … :P

Well I suddenly see a lot of buzz here as well... Definitely SRK or Kajol but the blog definitely appears to be publicised greatly..:P
Some really heated discussion going on.. unfortunately i cudnt get into it earlier..

anyway lets put in some more light..@siddhartha.. i guess you have misunderstood the reason about the fan thing. The reason why srk's fan following is jotted down because this is a movie whr we get to see him in a completely diff role as an autistic.. a type of role that not many have ventured into. As a SRK fan I rejoice to see him in various realms of roles. Besides I am also an ardent fan of Kajol as someone can be. She has carved a great niche fr herself in d industry. She is definitely a reason why the movie has grabbed so much fanfare.. But as My name is Khan centers on SRK, naturally SRK grabs more limelight.
Shrey said…
well well.. i totally agree with all d buzz around.. SRK playin an autistic person is something even he wudn't have thot of.. and people Kajal is sumone we all love n respect.. i m neither an ardent SRK fan nor a crazy Kajal follower.. bt trust me i just love dem as a couple.. dey have given this industry some of the best movies ever..

As for satyajeet ray.. raj kapoor..n oders.. dey were legends.. SRK is great but from an entirely different era.. so please stop comparing dem and fighting over such petite issues.. we have much bigger issues lying in front of us..

N ya.. Mahatama Gandhi is our father of the nation.. so even if u dnt like him or his policies or for the matter of fact his deeds.. please dnt disrespect him like dis..

n to MOHITA.. awesome writing again.. keep up the gud work.. cheers.. :)
