JOIN THE ROAR!!!

 Hey guys..
I am Stripey. I believe you all now know the sad reality that just 1411 of us are there in India now.The numbers of my community keeps on dwindling. Please dont let this routine go on. Otherwise one day I along with my friends would be wiped off the face of the earth.. something that u ppl refer to as extinction.

I have a right to live just like you do. I have a family and good friends just like you and a right to lead my life with them. Please do not encroach upon this right.

I think Stripey has said it all.

Its something really grave not only because tiger is our national animal but also because tigers constitute a rich part of our natural heritage and ecology.

This fact is a strident show of man's brutality.. Stripey and his handful of friends are in danger.. We dont want to lose them forever.

Really Stripey needs our help! We have to ensure not only his protection but also of the natural habitat he lives in. Most people are unsure of what can they do in their positions, but every single step for the cause helps,

Spread the word,
Join the roar.
Unite for the cause.

Do not undermine the power of word, it is mightier than a sword. May be this post here will not be of any significant help, but may be it will be. And if it does even a shred of help, why would I step back in spreading.

There is one thing that my last post made me realize.. Untitled

Life has its own set of ups and downs. There are times when the Lady Luck shines on you with all her might and then there are days when everybody leaves you in the lurch and just walks away. Who else can vouch for this better than my own blog. There was a time when it used to see regular updates, sprawling   visits and then there is a time now when the tides have turned against the poor guy and it is lying in some obscure corner catching dust.. no updates.. no visits… sigh.. :( I am well aware that no matter how hard I try, but still it is going to be futile to fish for any excuses and muster some convincing reasons for the long hiatus in posting to this blog. But better late than never. I have finally wielded my pen (or my keyboard to be precise) and it is high time I break out of the shackles of apathy that have overtaken me of late. But settling down on a topic is again a task herculean in itself. I think it will be better if I just etch out a couple of random things around me.

TV, Biwi & Karva Chauth

Karva Chauth and Indian Telly have a divine connection made from heaven. Yesterday I came across a hilarious video snippet from the Hindi serial "Sasural Simar ka ". If you haven't heard about this soap opera, may I tell you that you are missing on the ability to fathom the heights that Indian TV can reach today. While the name may sound like an innocuous saas-bahu style serial and it was like one when it all started out several years back; the story has taken a turn for the supernatural now with an entire bracket of ghosts, demons and serpent (yes snakes!) showing up in what must be an intriguing plot. Anyway, coming back to the point. The video was about two ladies decked up in the finest of  designer sarees —likely sponsored by one of the many advertisers —keeping the Karva Chauth Vrat for the same man and waiting for him with a sieve in hand for the ceremonial fast break at the end of the day in their respective rooms.
