Just another travel excerpt :P
I am amongst those people who don’t like air travel much but yet happen to use it a lot. Having lived my college about100kms away from home, I haven’t really traveled a lot of long distance journeys coz I never needed to. And now when I do need such journeys, time crunch stops me from resorting to terrestrial transports and SpiceJet’s direct flights are my only saviors..
My favorite mode is still rail.. the clickety clack sound, the beautiful views, especially if you are travelling in southern India(I love the green terrains), the slow rocking.. for me this all surpasses the convenience that air travel boasts of. Flying definitely has its own benefits; for guys who might want to relish the pampering by young beautiful girls, they should definitely weigh this option over others but oughta be careful while choosing your airlines too :P.
Still nothing beats having a cup of garam chai in a whistling train going though valleys and tunnels, than having a platter in the air gazing at a monotonous blue view with your arms and feet marginalized to move. It is sometimes more enjoyable to be waiting for the chai-namkeen walas in the train than being served the same by air stewards posing plastic smiles.
Well, I must admit one thing though. Inspite of having done many fight travels till date, some turbulence in the flight still makes me skip a beat. Its not that I start to freak out or something, but the fear thought does cross the mind at times.. I wonder if others share this knack too?
Nevertheless, air travel too has given me many beautiful sights that would remain etched as a memory. I remember seeing the Mumbai’s sea link from air, view of Hyderabad in night and believe me it does look like a pearl city from top :). Even looking at the train from above moving like a serpent on the ground was fun too!

Yeah ...getting a good seat in trains is easier than getting a better 1 in sky.The best thing about trains is ..so what if you are not lucky, you can share someone else's luck or search your luck anywhere from S1 to S9. :)
Kritika, yeah you are right.. travelling in some parts of south gives awesome views outside.. whenever I used to travel south I always used to count tunnels/caves on the way.. Mostly I would just be sitting glued to the window in the 36 hour journeys :P
@Ashish urf LuvLyf :D the similarity between life and the journeys is a good observation..
